The NYP high-viscosity pump is a new type of positive-displacement pump developed to meet the needs of industries such as petroleum, chemicals, coatings, fats and oils, pharmaceuticals, dyes, and food. Thanks to its versatility in material and design options, the NYP high-viscosity pump is widely used for conveying media with varying properties and viscosities.

Applicable medium temperature: -10°C to 200°C (for NYPO.78 and NYP2.3, the applicable temperature range is -10°C to 80°C).

Applicable medium viscosity: 1.0 cSt to 300,000 cSt (for NYPO.78 and NYP2.3, the applicable viscosity range is 1.0 cSt to 10,000 cSt).

Product Advantages

1 The NYP high-viscosity pump mainly consists of internal and external rotors, shafts, pump casing, pump cover, bracket, seals, bearings, and other components.

3. The rotational speed of a high-viscosity pump has a linear relationship with its flow rate, allowing the flow to be adjusted by varying the pump speed. High-viscosity pumps are particularly well suited for conveying high-viscosity fluids. The pump shaft end is equipped with a mechanical seal.

The NYP high-viscosity pump is particularly well suited for conveying highly viscous and thick media. It is widely used in various fluid-handling industries, especially for applications involving fluids with large and wide-ranging viscosity variations.

Available in both cast iron and stainless steel.

The pump head, pump casing, and seal chamber can all be equipped with thermal insulation jackets. The specific locations requiring insulation should be selected based on actual needs.

The jacket is integrally cast with the pump body, providing excellent thermal insulation and eliminating the various issues associated with welded jackets.

When heating is required: insulation can be maintained by introducing heat transfer media such as steam or thermal oil into the jacketed chamber.

When cooling is required: various cooling fluids can be used to maintain a constant pump body temperature.

Adjustable Clearance: The pump allows adjustment of the gear clearance to accommodate varying viscosity levels without disassembly, thereby meeting process requirements across a range of viscosities. A key advantage of the integral bearing housing is that clearance can be adjusted simply by rotating the housing, making operation straightforward and eliminating the need to dismantle any pump components.

The outer rotor drives the inner rotor to rotate in the same direction, resulting in minimal wear and a long service life.

Application Industries: Suitable for conveying clean, viscous fluids; can be used to transport oil products such as lubricating oils and crude oil. It is also applicable for handling high-viscosity materials free of particulate impurities, including molasses, polyurethanes, black-and-white raw materials, rubber, asphalt, paints, adhesives, dyes, coatings, lubricants, polyols, foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals, and more. Additionally, it can convey high-temperature, high-viscosity polymer melts such as PA, PB, PC, PE, PS, HIPS, ABS, PP, PET, PVA, and others.

The NYP high-viscosity pump features a fully enclosed magnetic coupling chamber that protects the external magnet from contact with moisture or external contaminants. A variety of standard sliding bearing materials are available, including cast iron, copper-graphite, and tungsten carbide. The standard magnet material is neodymium-iron-boron alloy. The NYP high-viscosity pump, also known as a rotor pump or high-viscosity oil pump, offers optional samarium-cobalt magnets that permit operation at temperatures up to 250°C and enable bidirectional flow. An externally heated jacket for the front cover and the magnetic coupling shield is a standard optional accessory, and the pump incorporates a back-pull design with standard flanged connections; it can be supplied with just the pump head, featuring both inner and outer protective sleeves.
