Product Overview
This hot-oil pump features a rational design and excellent performance, making it suitable for conveying high-temperature liquids free of solid particles. Its specifications and maximum operating temperature depend on the materials used for the primary components that come into contact with the process fluid (classified into three categories: I. HT200; II. ZG230-450; III. 1Cr18Ni9Ti, OCr18Ni12-Mo2Ti).
Scope of Application for BRY Thermal Oil Pumps
The BRY thermal oil pump is suitable for conveying weakly corrosive liquids that are free of solid particles. Upon customer request, the wetted parts can be made from different materials to handle corrosive or other special-purpose liquids. Operating temperature: ≤350°C; Flow rate: 1–270 m³/h.
In addition, air-cooled high-temperature hot-oil pumps are widely used in the machinery industry, food industry, pharmaceutical manufacturing, oil-supply circulation systems for thermal oil furnaces, and thermal oil heating circulation systems. Their applications in industry are extensive, with key areas of use including the petrochemical industry, textile printing and dyeing industry, dye industry, wood processing, plastics and rubber processing, food industry, and papermaking and printing industries.
Structural Features
The BRY thermal oil pump employs a soft packing seal, offering excellent thermal adaptability and leak-free sealing. It requires no additional cooling equipment, resulting in low operating costs. The pump features high performance, compact dimensions, low noise, and reliable long-term operation. It is designed for axial suction and centrifugal delivery, with a cantilever-supported structure.
Installation Sequence for BRY Thermal Oil Pumps
1) Place the unit on a foundation equipped with anchor bolts, and install paired shims between the base and the foundation for alignment purposes.
2) Loosen the coupling, place a level on both the pump shaft and the base, and adjust the shims to bring the unit to a horizontal alignment. After alignment is achieved, tighten the anchor bolts appropriately to prevent any movement.
3) Grout the base and anchor bolt holes with concrete.
4) After the concrete has fully hardened, inspect the base and anchor bolts for any defects or looseness. Once the inspection is satisfactory, tighten the anchor bolts and recheck the pump’s level.
5) Align the coaxiality of the pump shaft and the motor shaft. When checking with a dial indicator, the radial runout on the outer circumference of the coupling shall not exceed 0.1 mm, and the gap between the end faces of the two couplings shall be maintained within 2–3 mm. When the coupling is checked at a 90-degree offset using the dial indicator, the radial runout in the other direction shall also not exceed 0.1 mm. During adjustment, the motor is typically aligned relative to the pump; the coaxiality of the coupling can be adjusted by shimming with flat shims.
6) After the piping has been properly connected and the rotation direction of the prime mover has been confirmed, Taibang Pump & Valve Co., Ltd. of Botou shall then install the coupling and re-check the coaxiality of the coupling’s outer circumference.
7) After the unit has undergone a 3–4 hour trial run, perform a final inspection; if no adverse conditions are observed, the installation shall be deemed to have passed.
8) During installation, to prevent foreign objects from entering the machine, all openings on the unit must be securely covered.
Note: When flushing the inlet and outlet pipelines of the thermal oil pump prior to startup, a filter must be installed on the pump side to prevent foreign matter from entering the pump.
