The CYZ self-priming centrifugal oil pump is a newly developed pump product that has been designed and manufactured through the digestion, absorption, and further improvement of relevant domestic and international technical literature. This pump is an ideal choice for the petroleum industry, onshore oil storage facilities, and oil tankers, and is also well suited for use as a cargo oil pump, bilge pump, fire pump, ballast pump, and for circulating machine cooling water. It can convey various petroleum products such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, and aviation fuel, as well as seawater and fresh water, with a medium temperature range of –20°C to 80°C. For pumping chemical liquids, a corrosion-resistant mechanical seal can be used instead.

1. This pump is a self-priming centrifugal pump, boasting a simple structure, convenient operation, smooth running, easy maintenance, high efficiency, long service life, and strong self-priming capability. It eliminates the need for a foot valve in the piping system; prior to start-up, it suffices to ensure that a specified volume of priming oil is retained within the pump casing. When used on oil tankers or water-delivery vessels, it can also serve as a bilge-cleaning pump, delivering excellent bilge-cleaning performance.
2. This pump is meticulously crafted from *-grade materials and features a hard-metal mechanical seal for exceptional durability. The discharge piping does not require a safety valve, and the suction piping does not require a foot valve, thereby simplifying the piping system and improving working conditions.

Maintenance and Disassembly/Assembly of CYZ Self-Priming Centrifugal Oil Pumps

This pump is characterized by its simple, reliable design and long service life. Under normal operating conditions, it generally does not require frequent disassembly for maintenance; any malfunctions should be promptly addressed and rectified.
1. When maintaining this pump, several key components should be given attention.
a. Rolling bearings: When the oil pump has been in long-term operation and the bearings have worn to a certain extent, they must be replaced.
b. Front seal ring and rear seal ring: When the seal rings have worn to a certain extent, they must be replaced.
c. Mechanical Seal: Under normal operating conditions where no oil leakage is observed, the mechanical seal should generally not be disassembled for inspection. However, if severe leakage occurs at the lower end of the bearing housing, the mechanical seal must be disassembled and inspected. During installation and removal of the mechanical seal, handle it with care, ensuring that the mating surfaces are clean and free from contamination, and protecting the sealing faces of both the stationary and rotating rings; striking or impact must be strictly prohibited. The primary cause of leakage in mechanical seals is surface roughening of the friction pair’s sealing faces. To remedy this, the end faces of the friction pair can be lapped to restore a mirror-like finish. Another common cause of leakage is improper installation of the O-ring (or buffer pad), or its deformation and aging. In such cases, the O-ring should be adjusted or replaced, followed by reassembly.

2. Oil pump disassembly and assembly sequence:
a. Remove the motor or disconnect the coupling.
b. Disassemble the bearing housing assembly. Inspect the radial clearance between the impeller and the front wear ring. Check the impeller nut for looseness.
c. Remove the impeller nut, pull out the impeller, and inspect the radial clearance between the impeller and the rear seal ring.
d. Loosen the set screw of the mechanical seal and pull out the rotating ring assembly of the mechanical seal. Inspect the contact condition between the faces of the rotating and stationary rings, and check the sealing performance of the O-ring (or buffer pad).
e. Unscrew the set nut of the splined sleeve and pull out the splined sleeve.
f. Remove the bearing end cover. Then remove the pump shaft and bearings.
